NICOLE STEELE (BAHNIJ)
Ms. Bahnij has been practicing architecture for 10 years. She joined Herring and Trowbridge in 2012. In addition to the numerous large scale data center projects she has designed, she has also been involved in a 2 building office campus and a 116,000 square foot warehouse for the Department of State. Her earlier career included three years in Cleveland, Ohio where she completed multiple JCPenney buildings, mall renovations, and open air lifestyle centers. Prior to joining Herring & Trowbridge, Ms. Bahnij was a Project Designer for a small firm in Arlington, Virginia. During this time, she aided on projects including an office renovation for the Department of Homeland Security, the 100,000 square foot Arlington, Army Navy Country Club, and Fairfax County Public School feasibility booklets.
Ms. Bahnij’s career has been shaped by both her diverse projects types and education which has led to her innovative and holistic approach to solving unique design challenges. Her overall project success is directly related to her proactive approach to understanding the project design criteria, her attention to detail, and her motivation to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.
Ms. Bahnij has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Computer Science from the University of Mary Washington, and a Masters Degree in Architecture from The Catholic University of America.
Ms. Bahnij is a Registered Architect, and member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGCB).
